An Evening of Exploration and Giving - May 20, 2009
5/20/2009

Lighthouse Placement Services, LLC participated as a corporate sponsor in the first annual “SEEing is Believing” fundraising event to benefit the SEE Science Center and hosted by local inventor and entrepreneur Dean Kamen. It was a successful night of exploration and giving. Guests at the event were encouraged to explore the home of Mr. Kamen, who was available for conversation regarding his inventions, work, art and engineering pieces. Dean spoke regarding the importance of science education and introduced New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, who was gracious enough to address the crowd before dinner. The evening concluded with a live auction. Everyone in attendance agreed that it was a unique experience and they, along with the Board of Directors of SEE, were very pleased that the evening netted more than $38,000 to support the mission and programs of New Hampshire’s premier science discovery center. Alison Fogel, Technical Specialist and Managing Partner of Lighthouse Placement Service, had this to say about their sponsorship. “Lighthouse Placement Services LLC, supports the proactive approach of introducing children to Science and Engineering at an early age as we believe it to be a fundamental building block for the future. We consider it an honor and a privilege to be involved in such a worthwhile cause. Lighthouse Placement Services, LLC is a woman-owned staffing firm dedicated to matching the best and the brightest technical talent to rewarding positions with our clients in New England. We believe the best technical professionals have a true passion for science, engineering and math that usually blossoms at a young age through simple curiosity. We are grateful for the opportunity to support our clients by providing engineering personnel for their various projects. We hope to continue to work together through programs like the SEE Science Center to foster interest in the technology arena.”
