SUSIE'S STORY
On September 7, 1985, Susan Cuddy married her high school sweetheart, the LOVE of her life. Soon after, Sue and Joe welcomed Brittany and Jonathan into their hearts and home and that is "where their story began." With laughter, faith, and love, a strong family bond was established. The events of this past summer would challenge the strength of that bond.
On July 8th, Sue suffered a massive stroke due to complications during surgery to clip an aneurysm in her head. Left with so many physical, neurological, and cognitive challenges, Sue applies her strong work ethic daily to fight her way back to her family. A feisty, spirited, confident mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Sue’s contagious smile and true beauty are a perfect complement to her infectious personality. Her journey to come back to a loving family is a long and challeging one. This 46-year-old woman deserves a chance to be stimulated and motivated surrounded by her family. We want to bring her HOME! With the need for 24 hour care, along with physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as many, many renovation and equipment needs, this goal needs YOUR support.
Please join us on Friday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Claddagh Pub as we CELEBRATE Sue's fighting spirit and HONOR her right to be united with a family who ADORES her. Great raffle prizes, left/right/center tournaments, music, dancing, and laughter…a celebration in true Susie fashion! If you can’t join us, please consider donating to the raffle or purchasing a ticket. All proceeds will be applied to her nursing, therapy, and equipment needs with a percentage being donated to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. As you go about your daily routine, please remember to “Say One for Susie…There’s No Place Like Home!”
